SERVOL SPECIAL SCHOOL

 

In an effort to care for the mentally challenged children of the communities. SERVOL opened a Special School in 1974. This school caters for 110 children between the ages of six and seventeen who have been diagnosed as being autistic, mentally challenged or slow learners. Many of the children from this school graduate to one or other of the SERVOL Adolescent centres where they are taught a technical skill. The teachers have all been trained but the extraordinary thing about this school is the atmosphere of love which surrounds it and the extraordinary support it gets from its vibrant Parent/Teachers Association.
